KABUL: The civil society activists in the eastern province of Nangarhar accuse the central government of inefficiency that has caused security situation worsen there.
These activists said on Tuesday that terror, kidnapping and other criminal incidents have unprecedentedly increased in the once calm province, making residents concerned.
But provincial officials say they were making efforts to improve the situation with the coordination from security bodies.
Nangarhar residents warn that they would leave their houses if the government remains careless regarding the situation.
They ask the government to establish more security checkpoints around the city of Jalalabad, provincial capital, as they claim that theft, terror and abduction take place on the daylight.
Officials in Nangarhar promise of a positive change soon.
Taliban and Daesh terrorist group have active presence in the districts of Nangarhar.
