Health officials worry as Iran Coronavirus infections surge

AT News

KABUL: Officials at the ministry of public health say they were worried to learn that the Coronavirus had broken out in the neighboring Iran where millions of Afghans live as migrants.

Iranian officials have confirmed that scores of people were suffering the Coronavirus with four of patients losing their lives in the past week.

Health officials assure about fully readiness to prevent the virus epidemic outbreak, but admit that Afghans’ commuting to and from Iran could help the virus break out here.

Meanwhile, Kabul residents ask for urgent government measures for prevention of the virus, saying that every Afghan should use masks while going out of house.

The virus outbreak possibility has also worried Kabul residents, who say the government needs to take serious practical measures to prevent the virus epidemic.
