IEC must maintain its independence
AT-KABUL: Islamic Movement party on Monday called on the Independent Election Commission to maintain its independence.
The political party members during a commemoration ceremony of the second death anniversary of late political figure Seyed Hussain Anwari in Kabul laid emphasis on transparency of elections and urged the IEC to run the forthcoming elections in a transparent manner.
Seyed Mahdi Anwari, chief of Anwari Foundation, heaped concerns over a massive fraud and government’s meddling in the upcoming elections and urged the IEC to maintain transparency in the upcoming elections.
MP Hazrat Ali said that a difference between the leaders of the government of unity was a matter of concern.
