AT-KABUL: The intelligence agency says it has thwarted a major terrorist attack in Kabul city, amid a heated election campaigning and as polls are nearing.

Intelligence operatives managed to arrest two masterminded of suicide attack during a clampdown in 3rd PD in Kabul city, said a press statement issued by NDS.

Statement said that the arrested culprit identified as Feroz Kochi and Rafiullah, who are under investigation.

A hand box full of explosives, one pistol with a corolla vehicle seized by NDS personal during operation, added statement.

Statement elaborated that the captured indicts were trained in making, mine and explosive vests in Akora Khattak area of Peshawar for six months.

The arrested terrorists were tasked by Haqqani Terrorist Network commander Bashir to conduct terrorist attack by suing five suicide attackers over city built detachment in 5th PD in Kabul, who before reaching target identified and arrested by NDS operatives, mentioned the statement.

NDS personal by arrest of mentioned two terrorist succeeded to avoid a bloody incident, which would cause killing and wounded of innocent people in Kabul city, underlined the statement.
