Kabul, Baku to sign five cooperation agreements

AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: The Afghan ambassador to Azerbaijan on Monday said that Kabul and Baku will soon sign five documents of cooperation in different areas, media reported.

Mohammad Taqi Khalili said President Ashraf Ghani would arrive soon in Azerbaijan to take part in the 7th ministerial conference of “Heart of Asia” — Istanbul Process (HoA-IP).

Addressing a news conference in Baku, he said foreign ministers of Turkey, Iran, Pakistan, India and Estonia — currently holding the presidency of the Council of the European Union would attend the meeting.

The Azeri Press Agency quoted the diplomat as saying presidents of the two countries were expected to sign five documents on further strengthening bilateral relations.

“We are grateful to our Azerbaijani friends for their partnership and strong support,” Khalili said, adding Afghanistan would continue supporting Azerbaijan on Nagorno-Karabakh.
