Karzai calls for more efforts for peace

KABUL: Former Afghan President, Hamid Karzai, met with members of the Afghanistan rescue movement on Monday.

In this review, the former president called on the government and the Taliban to take away from this foreign war, and through talks, to promote respectable peace in the country and for a prosperous, progressive and united government and sovereign Afghanistan.

Hamid Karzai called the national unity and unity of the people of Afghanistan and added: “Afghanistan has a strategic and important position in the region and is a rich soil located in the superpowers. We must know the value of our soil well and use it for our benefit. We need to manage our relations with the world from the same position and thereby bring ourselves to lasting peace, stability and progress.”

The former president also urged to train and care for the children of the country to serve their land.
