KABUL: Former President, Hamid Karzai strongly condemned night raids against civilians in Ghazni province’s district of Gilan and the district of Nerkh in the neighboring province of Wardak, expressing concerns over inattention by the government.
A number of civilians were killed and wounded in the night raids.
The former president also condemned Saturday’s terrorist attack on the ministry of telecommunication and information technology.
He dismissed military operations against civilians under any name as illegal, calling for an immediate stop.
The ex-president called on the war parties to jointly work on the peace that is the desire of every Afghan, instead of continuing war and bloodshed.
He emphasized that intra-Afghan dialogue delayed to be held on Friday, should be resumed as soon as possible.
