Karzai condemns mosque bombing

KABUL: Former President, Hamid Karzai strongly condemned a bombing attack inside a mosque that killed and injured a large number of people.

The attack took place in the Shakar Dara district of Kabul province during the Friday prayer on the second day of Eid. At least 12 people including the mullah were killed and a number of others injured.

In a statement, Karzai denounced the bombing as against all human and Islamic principles.

He called the incident as a clear sign of the enemies’ plots who want to weaken the ongoing peace process.

The former president wished paradise for the dead and quick recovery for the injured.
