Karzai denounces Kabul bombing

AT-KABUL: Former President Hamid Karzai, ‘strongly’ condemned Monday’s terrorist attack in Kabul, calling it the work of “ill-wishers of Afghanistan”.

The ex-president conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims.

A truck bomb targeted Monday evening the heavily-fortified Green Village that is house to several foreign offices including the United Nations branches.

At least four people were killed and more than 110 others injured in the attack that ripped through surrounding neighborhoods, shattering the windows of homes and shops.

Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack, promising to carry out more of similar assaults.
