AT-KABUL: Former President of Afghanistan, Hamid Karzai, has strongly condemned the terror attack at Bacha Khan University in Charsadda.
Denouncing the attack in strongest possible terms, Hamid Karzai said that such attacks are against Islamic teachings and human values, adding that attacks on people living on both sides of the Durand Line, especially on educational institutes, is part of the “ugly war” that has been imposed on this region and always taken toll on common people.
The former president said, “Terrorists and their supporters always tried to attack educational and cultural centers in Afghanistan and Pakhtunkhwa in order to prevent our children and youth from education and progress.”
Extending his condolences to the bereaved families and wishing early recovery for those who injured in the attack, Karzai said, “They [enemies] must know that through inhuman acts they could not make our people back off from the strong determination they have for peace and development.”
He said that such attacks are utterly against the Islamic teachings as well as interest and wishes of the people living in this region.
