Karzai met Japan ambassador Takashi Okada

Kabul: Former President Hamid Karzai met with Mr. Takashi Okada Ambassador of Japan in Afghanistan. In this meeting, Mr. Takashi Okada expressed his condolences and sympathies for the victims of the recent earthquake and floods in Afghanistan.

The former president also expressed his deep feelings about the assassination attempt against Shinzo Abe, the former prime minister of Japan, which caused his death.

Also, in this meeting, both sides talked about the current situation in Afghanistan and the region and emphasized on the return of women to work and the opening of girls’ schools above the sixth grade.

While appreciating Japan’s cooperation with the people of Afghanistan, the former president emphasized on strengthening the relations between the two countries as much as possible.
