Lightning strikes woman; boy electrocuted in Nimroz

AT-KABUL: Lightening and electric shock have killed a woman and a child in southeastern Nimroz province, said a public health official on Wednesday.

Director of Public Health Dr. Noor Ahmad Sherzad said that a woman was killed by lightning in the Khawaja Karim locality of Zaranj, the provincial capital. Meanwhile a resident of the Zaranj, Muhammad Umar said that a seven-year old boy was killed by electric shock on Wednesday.

He urged the parents to take care of their children and prevent them from touching electronic accessories, adding precautions are essential, he said.
