Magnetic bomb cache seized in Herat
KABUL: Ministry of Interior on Monday said that a cache of magnetic bombs have been discovered and seized during a joint operation in western Herat province.
Afghan National Police in joint operations with National Directorate of Security (NDS) operatives conducted an operation in Heart city, which as result succeeded to discover and seize an ammunition cache consist of magnetic bombs and other explosives, said a statement issued by MoI.
Statement said that the magnet bombs and ammunitions werehidden in a hotel, which discovered and seized.
Statement said that the timely discovery of the explosives has foiled terror attacks and saved the city from an expected tragedy.
Discoveries like this demonstrate the ever-increasing capability of Afghan National Security Forces to protect the civilians from indiscriminate IED attacks, added statement.
Afghan National Police encourages all citizens to report suspicious activities and criminal acts to contact by dialing 119, underlined statement.
It is pertained to mention that few days back police forces arrested a man, who was behind a magnet bomb explosion in Herat city.
