AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: The Ministry of Public Health has provided eight ambulances to eight districts of eastern Nangarhar province.
Governor of Nangarhar province, Saleem Khan Kundozi, during the hand-over ceremony said that the ambulances were equipped with modern health equipments. He said the ambulances play a vital role in providing emergency services and taking patients and terror-victims to hospitals in a speedy way.
The ambulances were handed over to the representatives of the health facilities of Khogyani, Lal Pura, Gushta, Khewa and Dur Baba, Pachir Agam, Kot, Achin, districts in Nangarhar.
These districts had ambulances but in poor conditions lacking modern medical equipments.
Kundozi said the health officials will provide 24/7 services to the villagers in the districts.
Head of the Public Health Directorate Dr. Najibullah Kamawal said the ambulances have modern medical instruments and have the capacity to serve patients in an effective way during emergency situations.
He furthered the Ministry of Public Health has vowed to provide eight more ambulances to Nangarhar, soon.
