NDS nabs 7 militants in Kandahar

AT-KABUL: The National Directorate of Security (NDS), Afghan spy agency, has arrested seven militants in southern Kandahar province.

In a media statement issued here on Saturday, the spy agency said that the seven members group was involved in anti-state activities. A notorious Taliban commander, identified as Hussain Shah alias Maulvi Agha, was also among the detained militants. The remaining six insurgents were identified as Agha Jan, Yar Mohammad, Abdul Bari, Baran Shah Agha, Sayed Mohammad and Khan Mohammad.

Three bombs, 25kg of explosives, 25 remote control sets and two RPGs were recovered from the militants, the statement claimed.
