NDS nabs five-member Taliban group

AT-KABUL: The National Directorate of Security (NDS) in a special operation has detained a five member terrorist group in northern Baghlan province, the agency said on Thursday.

The group was involved in destructive activities under the command of Ziaulhaq in Chardara district of northern Kunduz province.

In a media statement, the NDS said that the group was carrying out anti-security forces activities and was involved attack on Kudnuz city as well.

The remaining four militants were identified as Shiragha, Qandagha, Muhammad Naqib and Wahidullah.

After Kunduz province was recaptured by security forces the group fled to neighboring Baghlan province and attempted to start subversive activities in Baghlan Markazi district of the province.
