NDS recovers ammunition in Paktia

AT-KABUL: The National Directorate of Security (NDS) on Monday said that huge caches of ammunition were recovered in Paktia province.

In a media statement issued here, the spy agency said that NDS personnel discovered and confiscated three ammunition caches belonging to the Haqqani Network. The militant group wanted to use the ammunition in terror activities.

The ammunition included three machineguns, two mortars with 23 rounds, 50 anti-vehicle mines and 13 rockets with some other materials used in terror attacks.

The NDS has succeeded in foiling terror bids by finding the ammunition which was hidden by the insurgent group.
