New political party forms in exile

AT

Kabul: A new Afghan political party named republicans was established.
A number of Afghans in exile called “republicans” announced the movement, which is led by Shah Mahmood Miakhil, the former deputy minister of defense of Afghanistan.
Miakhil said in his message on Monday, July 25 that he had contacted some Afghans about his intention to create this political party in Afghanistan.
He added: “This national movement has very specific goals; it wants an independent government in Afghanistan. Afghanistan must have a constitution that protects all citizens’ political and civil rights.”
According to the memorandum of understanding of this movement, the constitution of Afghanistan, the election based government, the national flag and all national values should be restored.
Afghanistan had an elected government since May 15, 2021, which is collapsed and replaced by the Islamic Emirate of Taliban.
