Nine Taliban insurgents killed by own bomb

AT News Report-KBAUL: Nine insurgents of the Taliban radical movement blew themselves up while planting explosive devices for terrorist attacks in Baghlan province, according to officials.

A group of nine armed Taliban insurgents were killed and another wounded after their own explosives went off while they were placing a roadside mine in the main route of Qala-e-Naw area, Pul-e Khumri City, capital of Baghlan provinceon Friday night, said a press statement issued by Ministry of Interior.

Statement said that also four armed Taliban were killed and five other armed Taliban were wounded in a clash with Afghan National Police in the province.

The incident took place in the Surkh Kotal region, Pul Khumri City of Baghlan, after a group of armed Taliban attacked the police check posts, added statement.
No police member was harmed during the clash, mentioned statement.
