No individual allowed to defy laws: Danish

AT-KABUL: Second Vice-president Sarwar Danish said Wednesday that the government will never let any individual to violate the law of and unleash chaos and mayhem.

He said that all those involved in killing of Farkhunda, a 27-year old woman lynched by a mob, would be punished according to the laws of the land.

After introducing the cabinet picks to the Wolesi Jirga for vote of confidence, Danish termed killing of Farkhunda a brutal act that defamed the country in international community.

He said the government would bring Farkhunda’s killers to justice. “Any official who committed negligence and that resulted in killing of Farkhunda will be punished according and fired from job,” he vowed.

Regarding kidnapping of the 31 passengers, Danish said the government would utilize all available resources to secure release of the abductees.

He warned the insurgents to refrain from creating differences among Afghans, because the nation is united. Danish said that kidnapping of citizens by the militants have increased hatred among public for the rebel groups.

The vice president asked the insurgents to join the peace process. He said the militants should not take calls of the government for peace as its weakness. The government is committed to defend the citizens, said Danish.
