One killed, 12 injured in Parwan blast

AT-KABUL: One policeman was killed and 12 others including seven civilians injured in a bomb blast in Parwan province on Saturday morning.

Police Security Chief in Parwan, Ziaur Rahman Fayez, said the incident took place at around 10:00 am in Syagerd district of Parwan when a vehicle of the local police was passing the area.

He said the bomb, probably remote-controlled, was placed in a cart and detonated when vehicle of the local police was passing by. As a result a policeman was killed and 12 others injured including seven civilians. Police launched investigation into the incident.

Meanwhile, the Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack. Taliban’s spokesman Zabihullah Mujahid on Twitter claimed that two policemen were killed and three others wounded in the blast.
