AT-KABUL: Driver of a bus was killed and 25 passengers injured in a road accident between a truck and a bus on the Kabul-Kandahar Highway in Ghazni province.
The deputy provincial governor of Ghazni, Ali Ahmadi, told media that the head-on collision took place in Aab Band district of the province. He said the bus was en route to Kandahar province when rammed into the truck in Spin Band area of Aab Band district. The injured include children and women.
Chief of the Ghazni traffic department, Mohammadullah Ahmadi, said the accident was result of the drivers’ carelessness. He said that most of the drivers are careless. He urged the drivers to observe traffic signs and speed limits.
Speaking about the injured, Ahmadi said the wounded passengers were shifted to hospitals by family members and other vehicles plying on the highway.
