AT-KABUL: One person was killed and at least nine others were injured when a bomb fitted to a bicycle went off on early Saturday in northern Kunduz province, sources said.
Spokesman for the provincial police Sayed Sarwar Hussaini told Afghanistan Times in a telephonic chat that one person was killed and nine others including a policeman were injured when a remote-controlled bomb fitted to a bicycle went off.
He said that most of the injured persons were civilians including shopkeepers. Responding to a question, he said the target of the blast was provincial police officials.
Health condition of some wounded persons was stated as critical.
Meanwhile, the spokesman to the provincial governor said the bomb blast took place near the police headquarters and left 10 persons injured including policemen.
No group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
