AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: Hajj and Auqaf Minister, Faiz Mohammad Osmani inaugurated the newly-constructed Hajj center in Mazar-i-Sharif, the capital of northern Balkh province on Sunday.

He said that the center built at the cost of $1 million provided by the Hajj Ministry and due to some technical problems the inauguration of the center was delayed.

During inauguration ceremony, Osmani told reporters that about 100,000 mosques needed to be registered across the country. “There are total of 150,000 mosques existed in the country and all of them needed to be registered with the government,” he said.

He said that registration of mosques is a common practice in the Islamic countries and only 50,000 mosques had been registered with the Ministry.
