Pakistan appoints new ambassador to Afghanistan

Kabul: Pakistani media have reported that Obaidul Rehman Nizami, the Director General of the European Department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan, has been replaced by Mansoor Ahmad Khan on Saturday, 5th of July.

He has served as the director general of South Asia in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan and also as the deputy ambassador of this country to United States.

Previously, Mansoor Ahmed Khan was Pakistan’s ambassador in Kabul.

Khan’s work in Afghanistan will end soon, and Nizami is supposed to start working at the Pakistan Embassy in Kabul after Mansoor Ahmed Khan’s mission is completed by the end of August.
