Pakistan releases 30 Afghan prisoners

Kabul: According to the announcement of the Afghanistan Embassy in Pakistan, 30 citizens of Afghanistan who were detained in Karachi prisons have been released with the efforts of this institution.

These Afghan citizens were released from Pakistani prisons on Monday, and were transferred to Afghanistan, said Afghanistan Embassy in Pakistan.

These Afghan citizens were arrested by the Pakistani police for not having legal residential documents.

The Afghan embassy in Pakistan says the men were released as a result of diplomatic efforts.

It was previously reported that hundreds of Afghan citizens, including women and children, are in Pakistani prisons because they do not have legal residency documents.
