PC member killed in Ghor
AT-KABUL: A former provincial council member has been gunned down by the Taliban insurgents in northern Ghor province, provincial official said on Wednesday.
The incident took place in Chahardar district of the province after the Taliban insurgents attacked the center of the district.
“In the attack, the Taliban insurgents killed Yahya Khan who was also a pro-government tribal elder,” said the provincial police spokesman, Iqbal Nezami.
In separate wave of violence, three Afghan policeman received injuries in a roadside bomb explosion in Kohsan district of western Herat province.
The wounded police officers were in their way to a voting registration center when their vehicle hit with a roadside mine.
