The draft of the deal will be signed with HIA in two to three days, deputy of the peace council Abdul Khabir Ochqoon told Radio Azadi.

Negotiations began five months ago and finally both sides reached out an agreement over a draft comprised of 25 articles.

The council also said that the peace deal was due to be signed before the Eid holidays, but it was postponed because of some technical issues.

The Hezb-i-Islami had earlier nodded to join peace process and started negotiation with the government. The government welcomed the preparedness of HIA for peace parleys.
