KABUL: Senior Presidential advisor, Wahid Omar, condemning the killing of popular Afghan comedian, Khasha Jawan, said that the Taliban showed that they are in pursuit of bloodshed.
Omar called on people to raise their voice against Taliban atrocities.
According to reports, Taliban dragged Khasha Jawan out of his home in Dand district of southern Kandahar province a week back and killed him.
A video leaked on social media on Tuesday, shows that the comedian was arrested by the Taliban, being threaten, insulted, and slapped inside the car.
The killing of the famous humorist sparked reactions from social media users, who condemned this act of the Taliban.
First Vice President Amrullah Saleh in a tweet said that silencing satire and criticism is in reality silencing society, but society would never surrender to such cruel actions, Saleh added.
This comes as Taliban increased their attacks and claimed capturing the centers of hundreds of districts and key trading ports from government forces, Taliban reportedly killing hundreds of people who supported government following capturing Spin Boldak district of Kandahar province, Taliban leave no stone unturned to harm and kill innocent people.
