Police rescue abducted child in Kunduz

KABUL: Police forces on Sunday rescued a child who had been kidnapped in northern Kunduz province, authorities said.

A kidnapped child named Omar Farooq was released during an operation by police, said Kunduz Police Spokesman Enamudin Rahmani.

He said that the Omar Farooq is resident of Jan Aleemstreet, who was kidnapped recently by unknown people in Emam Bandar.

Shortly after kidnapping of the child, police forces cordoned off the area, which finally leaded to the released of the child, he added.

Kidnapped children were released in Pul-e-Alchin area and handed over to his family in the province, he noted.

No one arrested in connection to the kidnapped case, but kidnapers are under chasing and will be captured by police soon, he underlined.
