KABUL: A pregnant woman and her unborn child were shot dead in Kabul allegedly by her husband in PD 10th of Kabul city, officials said on Monday.
Kabul Police Spokesman, Ferdaws Faramar said the incident occurred on Sunday night in Qala-e-Fatihullah area of neighboring Kabul. “The shooter was arrested and investigation has been underway,” he added.
The reason behind taking such a “vicious action” by a husband is remain unknown.
Women in Afghanistan have often been victimized of the practicum of cultural taboos that put women in a cave. They are treated with less freedom and rights that the majority of them are not allowed to take education and make their favorite life.
