Protestors seek sacking of Bagrami district officials

AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: Hundreds of protestors on Wednesday took to the streets of the capital city Kabul and urged the government to sack a number of high-ranking officials of Kabul’s Bagrami district.

The protestors were more than 300 people who started rally in Ahmad Shah Baba Mina streets at around 9:00am local time. They prodded the government to remove the district chief, police chief, revenue official and a number of other officials in Bagrami.

The protestors blamed the officials for helping land grabbers and making fake document for state lands in a number of areas of the district.

However, the administrative chief of Ahmad Shah Baba Mina Township, Sayid Shamsuddin Qarizada, rejected the allegations, and said he would be willing to stand trial if the protestors could support their claims while bringing evidence.
