AT-KABUL: The Independent Directorate of Local Governance (IDLG) accused provincial spokespersons of being “unsuccessful” against the enemy’s psychological war.
“Due to incapability, a number of provincial spokesmen were inactive against insurgents’ propaganda and could not manage the situation. Therefore, the government plans to mobilize them,” Munira Yousufzada, spokeswoman for the ILDG said Monday in a conference held to empower train provincial spokespersons to be able against the enemy’s propaganda.
She termed lack of information, coordination and scattered data as the main challenges among provincial spokesmen, saying that these obstacles would be resolved soon.
Provincial spokespersons are to learn the government communication strategy to attract people’s trust and lunch propaganda programs against psychological war of the militants.
Deputy culture minister Mojgan Mustafawi, said that the spokesmen have significant role to foil enemy’s propagandas.
“Everywhere, media is easily accessible. It is up to you how to utilize them for public awareness and attraction people’s trust,” she mentioned.
So far, Taliban insurgents use different tools for expansion their psychological war to increase their supporters against government.
Afghan officials claimed that all the militants’ propaganda is organized inside Pakistan against Afghan government.
