Rabbani calls on Afghans to unite against militants

AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Salahuddin Rabbani, said that Afghans have been mobilized against terrorists.

He added that Afghans would not allow any country to interfere in Afghanistan’s affairs and rule their country.

The minister has recently paid a visit to Badakhshan, Takhar, Kunduz and Baghlan provinces, to meet with Jihadi leaders and security forces. During his visit to Baghlan province, he called on people to unite against terrorists.

Rabbani said that people’s presence in the frontline of war against militants is commendable. He came hard on the elders and lawmakers, who are fanning difference among various ethnic groups.

In the meantime, residents of Baghlan province urged the government to take all necessary measures against the militants who are intended to destroy Afghanistan’s north.

The Taliban militants have recently mounted their terrorist activities in the northern parts of the country. The insurgent group recently took control of Kunduz city. However, security forces recaptured the city from the militants after several days of fighting. Kunduz was the first major city to fall to the Taliban in the past 14 years.
