AT-KABUL: A number of the Islamic scholars on Friday stressed on an intra-Afghan dialogue, calling on the Taliban group to hold talks with the government of Afghanistan.

These clerics in a gathering in the northern province of Baghlan, demanded the war sides to observe an armistice with the aim of putting an end to the 18-year long war and offer their demands through a political way.

Only, they said, the Afghans are giving sacrifice, thus ending the war was a crucial need.
