AT Monitoring Desk-KABUL: While explaining his second 100-day action plan, Sar-e-Pul governor said that retaking Kohistanat district from the Taliban was in his top priority.
Muhammad Zahir Wahdat assured people of the province that he will spare no efforts to ensure security of the province. “Nothing can be done without security, thus ensuring security is in top priority of our second 100-day action plan,” he added.
He pledged to take note of people’s complaints, monitor the process of governance in Sar-e-Pul and bring security to the province.
In the meantime, a number of internally displaced people from Kohestanat district welcome the action plan and said that their families are faced with numerous challenges during this chilly weather. Closure of roads, presence of militants and recent rains has made it hard for the displaced families to return to their houses.
“We don’t have food and warm garments for our children this winter and it has been two months that we are living in our relative’s house,” a displaced person told Radio Azadi on condition of anonymity.
The displaced people welcomed the plan and said that despite retaking the district from the Taliban, the government should also provide them aid.
