Kabul: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov announced in a press conference that Russia will inform the Taliban movement about the outcome of the next round of consultative meeting in Moscow regarding Afghanistan.
Earlier Putin’s special representative Zamir Kabulov had announced that delegation or representative of the Taliban interim government would not attend the Moscow meeting.
Regarding the upcoming consultative meeting in Russia about Afghanistan, Lavrov added “We are in regular contact with Taliban officials, they will be aware of what the participants of the Moscow meeting will do.”
He clarified that they certainly do not want to hide any secrets from the representatives of Afghanistan and will provide accurate information to the Taliban and other political forces present in Afghanistan.
Moscow’s consultative meeting on Afghanistan is scheduled to be held in mid-November.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the interim government of the Taliban, in response to not inviting them to attend the aforementioned meeting, had announced that this program is incomplete without the presence of Afghanistan delegation.
