AT News Report-KABUL: With the innumerable endeavors of police forces to locate and capture rebels in different parts of the country, police officers in southeastern Ghazni province have arrested a senior leader of Islamic State (IS), also known as Daesh extremist, and a Taliban insurgent’s propagandist in southern district of the province, officials said Saturday.
Provincial Police Chief Col. Farid Ahmad Mashal, said Idris a senior Daesh leader, aka Abu Zar was responsible of recruiting fighters to militant ranks for military purposes that captured on Friday.
The arrested leader of the notorious militant group, was engaged in doubling Daesh fighters in Nangarhar and Kunduz provinces to carry out their evil designs and target Afghan and foreign forces.
Meanwhile, police detained another insurgent ‘Nazir Ahmad’ not from Daesh extremist but from Taliban insurgents, who is a propaganda advertiser in Waghaz district of the same province.
The arrested Taliban militant was regularly spreading propagandas favoring Taliban militants through social media outlets.
The Police Chief termed the detainee as a responsible and key hand to Mullah Mansoor, a key Taliban leader in Waghaz district.
He also tied his relations with another leader of the group, Mullah Saddat in Adar district of the province, in which his detention could prove significant in restoring peace in the restive areas.
Both Taliban and Deash extremist group’s detainees confessed to their crimes and have been referred to investigation in judicial organs for further inquiry.
However, neither Taliban nor Daesh terrorist groups commented in the arrestment so far.
