KABUL: At least seven Daesh terrorists, including its key member and suicide attackers, were killed during an operation carried out by the intelligence forces in eastern Nangarhar province.
The Special Forces of the National Directorate of Security (NDS) conducted the operation in Ghochko area of Jalalabad, the capital city of province, in which seven members of Daesh terrorist group, including suicide bombers, were killed, Nangarhar Press Disk said in a statement on Monday.
The terrorists had used civilians as human shields, but the NDS forces killed all the terrorists without harming the civilians.
A number of weapons ammunitions and suicide bombing vests were also sized from the attackers.
They had planned to carry out targeted-killings, sticky bombs and other terrorist activities in Jalalabad city, the statement added.
The Afghan security forces accelerated counter-terrorism operations in Jalalabad city after militants increased their target-killings and sticky bombs inside the city, the statement added.
