Seven insurgents killed in raids

AT-KABUL: At least seven armed Taliban fighters were killed in different crackdowns within past 24 hours.

In a press release issued here, Ministry of Interior (MoI) said that Afghan National Police in collaboration with Afghan National Army (ANA) and National Directorate of Security (NDS) conducted clearance operations against insurgents in different areas of Uruzgan and Ghazni provinces. In these operations seven rebels were killed.

ANP also discovered and confiscated significant amount of ammunitions in the operations, the statement said.
