Six civilians killed in Nangarhar blast

AT-KABUL: At least six civilians were killed and six others wounded after a suicide bomber targeted a tribal gathering in eastern Nangarhar province Monday afternoon, officials said.

“Six civilians were killed and six others injured, after a suicide attacker blew up his full of explosives vest in a tribal elders gathering in the police district 6 of Jalalabad city at around 1:30 pm,” said provincial governor spokesman Ataullah Khogyani.

He said that the tribal elders attended the gathering were from Pachiragam district of Nangarhar province.

Shortly after the incident police reached to the area and investigation started over this tragedy event, he added.
