Six terror suspects arrested in Kandahar: NDS

AT-KABUL:  The National Directorate of Security (NDS) on Saturday claimed arrest of six terror suspects in Kandahar province.

In a media statement issued here, the spy agency said the six-person terror group was busted by its agents in a special operation.

The suspects were identified as Amanullah, Wali Muhammad, Ghafar Shah, Sher Khan, Abdullah and Abdul Sadiq. The alleged terrorists wanted to conduct suicide attacks in Kandahar City, said the statement.

Fourteen AK-47s along with two PK machineguns were also recovered from possession of the suspects. By arresting the alleged terrorists the NDS succeeded in thwarting major terror attacks in Kandahar, added the statement.
