Taliban destroy road in Nimroz

KABUL: The Taliban rebels have destroyed an important road in Delaram district of southwestern Nimroz province, security officials on Friday.

Spokesman for the ministry of interior, Tariq Aryan said that this road was part of the Kabul-Herat highway.

The militants have always tried to damage the public installations. The government officials accused the Taliban of destroying the road in Ghazni and Kandahar province.

Ghazni Governor, Wahidullah Jumazada said that the Taliban destroyed 600 meter of the roads that connect the Ghazni-Paktika highway in Andar district of the province.

The ministry of defense also said that a part of the Kandahar-Uruzgan highway in Shahwalikoot district of Kandahar was destroyed by the Taliban.

The Taliban neither denied nor accepted its fighters’ involvement in destruction of the public installation.
