Taliban incur heavy casualties in Paktika skirmish

KABUL: At least 30 Taliban terrorists were killed during operations launched by security forces in southern Paktika province, according to reports.
According to a statement General Command of Police Special Units (GCPSU) launched a successful Counter-Terrorism operation to clear some of the areas from terrorists and enemies of peace and stabilityin Khoshamand district, eastern Paktika province, which as a result, 30 armed Taliban were killed yesterday.
Statement said that also GCPSU seized four rocket launchers, seven AK-47 rifles and some amount of ammunition during operation.
Statement stated that 11 different types of IEDs detected and two vehicles used by the militants were also destroyed in the operation.
In a separate report, two suspected men detained with two AK-47 rifles, six mortars and some amount of ammunition during a joint operation in Pul-e-Charki area, Kabul city yesterday.
