KABUL: The Taliban opened fire a vehicle in the southeastern province of Logar, killing a contractor of the Police Special Forces and wounding two others, security source said on Wednesday.

The source talking on condition of anonymity said that the incident took place on Wednesday afternoon in Zahidabad area of Mohammad Agha. According to the source, the car caught fire as a result of consecutive gun fire by the militants.

No one claimed responsibility for it so far.

Logar is among insecure provinces in southeast of Afghanistan, where Taliban are strongly active in its many parts. The Taliban in the past warned the people who work with the Afghan military and International Forces contractors.
