Taliban official assassinated in northern Afghanistan

Kabul: The local officials of Faryab confirm that the head of economy of this province was assassinated by unknown armed men in Qaisar district of this province.

Shamsullah Mohammadi, the head of information and culture of Faryab said on Saturday that, Abdul Rahman Manour, the head of economy of Faryab province, was assassinated by unknown armed men in Qaisar district.

According to him, this incident happened when the head of economy was moving from the center of Qaisar district towards his village, when he was killed by armed men in the area between Tamchi and Jagdlik villages and his killers fled from the area.

Mohammadi added that the efforts to arrest the perpetrators of this incident are continuing and the killers of the head of economy of this province are wanted by the security forces.
