‘Taliban, puppet militias of Pakistan, Iran and Russia’

AT News Report-KABUL: The Taliban have become puppet militias of Pakistan, Iran, and Russia, said Fazel Hadi Muslimyar Speaker of the Upper House on Tuesday, hailing the Afghan defense forces for fighting militants.

He said that the Taliban who are battling with Afghan forces in Farah province didn’t totally hail from Pakistan. “They are militias loyal to Pakistan, Iran, and Russia,” he insisted.

This is at a time that Afghan security forces fighting in Farah province against Taliban militants who have been attempting to overrun several areas. The Taliban insurgents launched a major offensive overnight to capture the provincial capital, but the Afghan forces have resisted so far.

Other senators expressed their reservations about the worsening security situation in the country, and said the government had failed to bring the situation to a normalcy due to mismanagement and incompetence.

Senator Gul Ahmad Azami said that people were frightened and the government needs to deploy commandos and air forces to Farah to rid militants of the province.

“Pakistan sponsors and fetesTaliban and Islamic State militants; it has enslaved them only to kill Afghans,” said SenatorLutfullah Baba added.
