Thirty-one insurgents killed in raids

AT-KABUL: The Afghan security forces in different crackdowns against Taliban insurgents during 24 hours, had killed at least thirty-one Taliban fighters. In addition thirty rebels received injures during operations.

Ministry of Defense (MoD) in a press statement, said that Afghan National Army (ANA) in collaboration with Afghan National Police (ANP) and National Directorate of Security (NDS) personal shave conducted joint operations against insurgents in different areas of Sar-e-Pul, Kunduz, Balkh, Ghazni, Laghman and Herat provinces. In these operations thirty one rebels including a group leader were killed and thirty others received injuries.

Unfortunately two ANA soldiers were also killed in exchange firings during operations, the statement lamented.

The statement furthered that security forces had discovered and confiscated weapons and ammunition during operations.
