KABUL: The United States special representative Tom West for peace in Afghanistan in a meeting with the Russian envoy for Afghanistan Zamir Kabulov discussed Afghanistan situation in the wake of Taliban takeover.
The mutual interests of both countries in Afghanistan were discussed and both urged the Taliban to honor their commitments to the international community.
In a tweet, Tom West tweeted on that he met with Zamir Kabulov and talked about the situation of Afghanistan in Moscow.
The US Special Envoy for Afghanistan also spoke with Alexander Venediktov, Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council.
Earlier, the US and Russian envoys had met with one another at the Troika Plus meeting in Islamabad.
