US security advisor in Kabul to discuss security situation

By Farhad Naibkhel-KABUL:  The Afghan National Security Advisor, Hanif Atmar met Sunday with the US president’s security advisor, Lt. Gen. MacMaster who is in Kabul to discuss the security situation with Afghan officials.

The national Security Council said in a statement that MacMaster would meet Afghan president and the chief executive.

National Security Advisor also in twitter said that “we will have productive meetings ahead.”

Meanwhile, Deputy Army Chief of Staff, General Murad Ali Murad in a press briefing here said that this is the first visit of US delegation from Afghanistan after new administration.

He said that US security adviser would meet Defense official tomorrow.

The delegation will assess the commitments and its level of implementation and what steps need to be hold in order to boost up Afghan forces capability to fight terrorism, he added.

He said that we expect from US delegation to transfer and report the facts going on in Afghanistan to US government.

He said that the delegation should report to US government about 20 terrorist groups, who are active in Afghanistan supporting from inside and outside the country in order to the US government act based on commitments made with the Afghanistan

Likewise US Security Adviser Mac Master in his twitter account twitted that “In Kabul for very important talks on mutual cooperation.”

US delegation visit Afghanistan while, US forces Afghanistan conducted an airstrike against ISIS-K complex in Achin district Nangarhar province on Thursday and targeted Daesh hideout by GBU43 the biggest un-nuclear bomb.

According to report at least 94 Daesh fighters including four commander have been killed in airstrike in Achin district on Thursday evening.

Hamza Abobaker, Hamid, Mohammad Abrani and Hafiz Saeed’s brother are the commanders who have been killed during attack as well.

This bomb attack had different positive and negative reaction inside Afghanistan and in abroad. Ex-President Karzai strongly condemned the attack and said that this attack was only a testing weapon by US-forces.

He said that if USA really fights against terrorism why day by day terrorism threats increased in the past years in Afghanistan.
